The Rich Boyz are five native New Orleans youngsters, who grew up on the hard-core streets of the uptown
area -- Third Ward Calliope Projects and The Magnolia Projects. The group consists of five family members: Romeo, Young-V
(Romeo's younger brother), C-Los, Lil-D and Big Doug, ( all of whom are Romeo and V's cousins). They refused to be sucked
into the drug infested, criminal ridden streets of New Orleans, and wanted to rise above the temptations of street life. While
most kids were grabbing guns, these five youngsters wanted more out of life, so they decided to hit the studio and start creating
music based on their life experiences growing up in the Big Easy. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, most of the
group members and their families were dismantled. Romeo came back for his cousins, putting together one of the most original
hip-hop groups ever. Due to the loss of one of their cousins and group member, Fred Conner, this group is not only about the
bling, the money and the materialistic things that most groups rap about. Their music is filled with allot more reality and
maturity, because these boys had to turn into men fast. Already out on tour and overwhelmed by the fan frenzy, and loud screaming
girls, these boys still maintain their street credibility. With the already successful career of their group's leader,Romeo(with
his multi platinum solo albums and successful television show and movie career), the Rich Boyz are well on their way to the
top of the charts. Under the guidance of hip-hop mogul Mater P, The Rich Boyz definitely have a promising future ahead of
them. The groups debut album, Young Ballers (The Hood Been Good to Us),which features the hit singles Cutt, We Roll Big, and
What's Happenin, features fifteen hot tracks, with street savvy lyrics, yet G-rated. This all ages album was produced by platinum
producers Drummer Boy, X File and Mike Diesel. The Rich Boyz are clearly ready to make their mark as the next generation of
hip hop artists. These guys are not only about the music, but are out to show the world that young people can make changes
in their life, sacrifice, make the right choices, run their own business and be young bosses. The Rich Boyz motto is: If you
like ice cream, you don't have to keep going to 31 Flavors, you can buy a Baskin Robbins. Age ain't nuthin' but a number.
The Rich Boyz are here to stay, because they're all about business! Even though they may be successful now, these young bosses
will never forget where they came from. The streets made us, and the hood's been good to us! Say the Rich Boyz.
